During my recent stay at OYO Hotel 119 in Darlington, I was pleasantly surprised by its budget-friendly charm and quirky, oyster-coloured exterior. The spacious room was not only spotlessly clean but also featured a wonderfully comfortable bed, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the town. My travel companions and I loved the convenient shared kitchen that offered everything from perfect cereal to an array of hot drinks, making our breakfast forays both economical and delightful. The staff, especially Pamela, were incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, which is something I always appreciate as a history teacher who values good service. The hotel's location is fantastic, with the centre just a short stroll away, full of shops and eateries that cater to every palate. Although the hotel is currently under refurbishment, it surely won't dampen the experience once completed. Our weekend was wonderfully memorable, especially with cultural highlights like the Darlington Railway Centre and Museum just around the corner!
